1980's Vintage Party Dress with Black Velvet Bodice & Lace Flounce Skirt, Liz Claiborne

The fitted velvet bodice has a square neckline to frame the face and long sleeves that narrow as they approach the three velvet buttons at the wrist. All these design elements are there for a purpose, to enhance you, not that you need the help. The full skirt is assisted by a gathered tulle underslip over which lies a filmy organdy, topped by a very supple sexy black lace. Look how the lace overlay is not hemmed so that the bottom of the dress is scalloped per the design of the lace itself.
